Photography workshops and Photoshop lessons.


Learn how to get better results from your camera through fun, informative and interactive workshops. Pick up techniques and tips gained through years of experience. Workshops are beneficial for either film or digital camera users. Rosemarie Sood is a respected professional photographer who has been involved professionally with photography for over 20 years. She has experience with weddings, portraiture and commercial photography and loves to capture nature, landscapes and architectural creations. Her work has appeared in Pine Ridge Juried Art Shows, exhibitions at the Guild Inn, Bluffs Gallery and Cedar Ridge Gallery; as well as a solo exhibition at Ontario Power Generation.
WORKSHOPS
2 hour and 1/2 day individual workshops available. One on one workshops customized to your specific needs. You decide how many sessions you want to book and what you would like to cover. (See below for some suggested topics). 1/2 Day workshops allow you to mix photography topics and cover computer editing as well.

PHOTOGRAPHY TOPICS
1. PUTTING YOU IN CONTROL OF YOUR CAMERA Gain a better understanding of your camera; how it works and measures light for proper exposure. Learn how to compensate for situations that can cause over or under exposures. Choosing the right film for best results. Learn about resolution and settings for your digital camera. 2. EXPOSURE FACTORS Basic principles and factors that affect exposure, how camera settings will effect the final image and choosing the right lens for a shot. 3. CAPTURING PEOPLE ON FILM AND COMPOSITION Create awareness of the little things that can make a big difference. Tips and demonstrations on posing people, useful techniques to apply when capturing people with your camera and learn the basics of composition. 4. FLASH BASIC AND FILTERS Learn the basics of flash photography, identifying and overcoming some common situations that pose problems with a flash and using filters as tools.

DIGITAL TECHNIQUES USING ADOBE PHOTOSHOP
Acquire the skills to work with your digital photos on the computer. Learn to enhance your photos, add borders and create collages or learn to use a variety of digital tools while working on one specific project such as restoring one photo.
